Design challenge:

Conversion of the current version of one of client's application in Silverlight to HTML5, without changes, seamless for end users.

Scope of works of DCG:

Design and implementation of a testing plan and test scenarios, as well as reporting results within the development team.

Result:

Ensuring maintenance of functions, so that a new version can be deployed without the need for an additional training of end users. Verification of the consistency of the application with subsequent versions of web browsers.

Design challenge:

Possibility of extending the range of a mobile application into subsequent countries on the Asian market. An application dedicated for Android devices connected with the API service in the course of all data transmissions. A dedicated testing team examined whether the range extension, and at the same time, a substantial increase in the number of users, will not result in the application's failure, and thereby in cutting off the access for the present users.

Scope of works of DCG:

Preparation of the plan of efficiency tests, selection of methods and tools. Tests of the application in an environment with parameters similar to the production environment. Preparation of a report and presentation of conclusions resulting from tests.

Technologies:

NET\C#, Javascript/TypeScript, PL/SQL and T-SQL (Oracle, MSSQL), Git, JMeter.

Result:

Approval of possibilities to extend the range without the need for greater changes with regard to development, as a result of which the application could be implemented in subsequent countries immediately after completion of tests, therefore the number of users significantly increased.

Design challenge:

Regression tests performed in the process of preparation for large integration of many applications based on a common database, shared by all tested applications. One of challenges was to connect a number of teams involved in testing particular applications, considering the fact that each of these teams had its seat a different location, as well as in a different time zone.

Scope of works of DCG:

Automatic tests, as well as functional and integration tests for all described applications. Coordination of works of teams. Reporting and responding to emerging incidents.

Result:

The result were several weeks of tests that provided high quality solutions and resulted in implementation of many applications cooperating with one another in the production environment.

Design challenge:

The change of technology and tools used to create automatic test for an application related to registration to examinations in English. It was caused by a change of an approach to development of the application, as well as plans of complete reconstruction of the application.

Scope of works of DCG:

Based on practices applied in other projects of the company, a testing team created from scratch the configuration of tests and automatic tests verifying main functions of the application. All of this was connected to continuous integration systems (Team City).

Technologies:

.NET\C#, Protractor, Selenium, Javascript/TypeScript, PL/SQL and T-SQL (Oracle, MSSQL), Git, Team City.

Result:

The entire process made it possible to develop a new solution for testing applications in TypeScript. It resulted in the fact that these tests were more reliable and written in a language used also by developers, which additionally enabled them to provide direct support during development of tests and their maintenance.

Design challenge:

Possibility of dynamic management of offered prices of products. The present market requires solid and sophisticated technological solutions to obtain and react to the changing situation.

Scope of works of DCG:

Testing the system, design and development of a testing framework. Care over the full cycle of software testing. Participation in design and consulting related to testing of applications.
