Test Automation Engineer (Playwright / Cypress)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain automated test cases for web applications using modern frameworks (Playwright / Cypress)
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers and business stakeholders to ensure high quality of delivered solutions
• Support reduction of manual testing by increasing automated test coverage
• Execute, monitor and debug automated tests, analyse results and report defects
• Perform basic API testing and support validation of backend endpoints when needed
• Review automated tests (including API tests written by developers, e.g. in Cucumber) when required
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test automation processes and frameworks
• Run and maintain test pipelines using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo)

Requirements:

• Commercial experience in test automation (3–5+ years)
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright + TypeScript or Cypress + JavaScript (with willingness to learn Playwright)
• Experience in web application testing (GUI automation)
• Basic understanding of API testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo) – ability to run and troubleshoot jobs
• Good understanding of software testing principles
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international environment
• Good command of English (spoken and written)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership

Nice to have:

• Experience with Cucumber / BDD (Gherkin)
• Experience with manual testing and exploratory testing
• Experience with Selenium + Java (legacy framework maintenance)
• Experience with API test automation or deeper backend validation
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter) – not required at this stage
