Senior AML Compliance Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in interpreting international AML regulations and KYC guidelines, ensuring that the KYC policy framework meets both global standards and local compliance requirements while adhering to emerging financial crimes best practices
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of international regulatory trends and emerging AML risks to provide actionable insights for policy development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across both First Line (Business, KYC Operations, Technology) and Second Line (Global AML Compliance, Legal) functions to streamline KYC transformations, aligning policies and procedures to reduce operational redundancies and improve risk management
  • Drive efforts to automate the integration of country-specific KYC and AML requirements into a cohesive global framework, promoting consistency and scalability
  • Manage projects and contribute to the development of roadmaps for policy initiatives, ensuring cohesion with broader KYC transformation agendas
  • Develop and present high-quality decks to effectively communicate policy changes, strategic initiatives, and project progress to stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovative approaches and risk-based compliance

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience focused on AML/KYC policy development and transformation within the financial services industry
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing abilities, with a talent for translating complex regulatory requirements into clear and concise policies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across various organizational levels
  • Experience in leading strategic initiatives and working with cross-functional teams, particularly in change management and organizational transformation
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Very good command of English (oral and written)
  • Legal background and relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS) are highly advantageous
