Scala Developer

Responsibilities:

• Build out global product by implementing new ingestion, distribution channels and create added value services derived from data within the platform
• Own the design and development of features that will be integrated into global product and used by the bank's systems
• Design and develop functional features codebase but also capabilities that transform how product is developed to fit into the long term product roadmap
• Develop resilient and tested codebase that can be confidently released to production environments

Requirements:

• Professional experience in software development
• Proficient understanding of Scala and JVM
• Functional programming background and familiarity with functional programming Scala libraries
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles
• Very good command of English (oral and written)
• Nice to have: Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Livy, Spark, HDFS, YARN, Hadoop
