Middle Office Specialist (Capital Markets)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Middle Office processes supporting investment funds' activity in capital markets
  • Monitor trades and ensure proper execution, settlement, and reporting of securities and cash transactions
  • Send and oversee settlement and payment instructions to custodian banks
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies across multiple systems and platforms
  • Handle client inquiries and provide transaction reporting and related support
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including oversight teams
  • Ensure high quality and timeliness of services delivered to clients
  • Support team members in resolving operational issues and ensuring service continuity
  • Participate in onboarding and training of new employees, sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Maintain and update procedures in line with audit and regulatory requirements
  • Identify, escalate, and manage risks that may impact performance or service quality
  • Proactively identify process improvements and implement more efficient solutions
  • Take ownership of process changes, standardization initiatives, and best practice sharing
  • Lead or contribute to projects, process improvements, and operational changes at team or department level
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal controls and local/global regulatory requirements

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial sector, preferably within capital markets or Middle Office operations
  • Solid understanding of securities and cash settlement processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues independently
  • High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
  • Good understanding of risk management principles and control frameworks
  • Experience working with MS Office tools
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards
  • Experience in project management
  • University degree in Finance, Banking, or a related field
