Calypso DevOps Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Production and Pre-Production Operations: Manage daily operations of the Calypso application (app code CALY), respond to business requests via email, perform daily monitoring of the CalMON system, and complete daily sanity checks
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Engage in in-depth technical troubleshooting with Calypso teams and other relevant teams
  • Service Management: Execute IT Service Management tasks, including incident management, problem management, and continuous service improvement
  • Team Collaboration: Act as part of the Calypso CI Team, providing functional and technical expertise on Calypso from both Front Office and Back Office perspectives
  • SLA & KPI Management: Oversee SLA and KPI management, client communication and interaction, predictive analysis, consulting, and escalation management
  • Risk Analysis and Project Execution: Conduct risk analysis and lead project execution
  • Documentation and Meetings: Update and create documentation, participate in daily meetings, and be part of the shift schedule
  • Monitoring and Deployments: Monitor EOD job flow, manage application monitoring, and handle weekend and after-hours deployments

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in support activities.
  • At least 4+ years of experience with Calypso application (versions V16 and V17) and 2-3 years in investment/trading banking operations
  • ITIL Certification: ITIL V3 or V4 certified
  • Strong knowledge in configuration management, XML, SQL, PL/SQL, MQ Series, CFT, and Control-M
  • Experience with monitoring solutions such as CalMon and Splunk
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, ability to work under pressure, autonomous and self-motivated, excellent team player, strong perseverance, and diligence
  • Financial knowledge and background are highly desirable
  • Familiarity with major market regulatory body’s rules is an advantage
  • Exposure to Capital Markets applications (e.g., Murex) is an advantage
