Fund Accounting Senior Manager

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Manage a team of professionals, overseeing personnel duties, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a supportive environment for professional growth. Implement SMART goal setting to achieve established objectives
• NAV Calculations: Calculate daily and periodic NAVs for funds, ensuring compliance with local regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements. Disseminate associated unit prices to facilitate investor dealings
• Financial Reporting: Produce audited annual financial accounts and unaudited semiannual accounts for each regulated entity. Complete regulatory and client reporting requirements covering fund valuation, portfolio, expenses, and transaction volumes
• Team Support: Collaborate with the section manager to guide a team of Fund Accountants in handling diverse financial and accounting matters affecting clients
• Risk Management: Identify and implement corrective action plans, analyze business risks, and ensure adherence to compliance standards
• Escalation Point: Act as the primary point of escalation for internal and external staff queries. Develop, manage, and enforce process, productivity, and quality standards
• Relationship Building: Create, develop, and maintain business relationships. Identify and implement service, system, and process enhancements, lead system testing, and train staff on new technology
• Strategic Contribution: Support the development and achievement of strategic goals. Participate in the annual performance/compensation cycle and implement methods to reduce expenses, recommend enhancements, and justify benefits
• Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, prioritize the firm's reputation, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Uphold ethical standards and escalate/control issues transparently

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in accounting or a related field
• Knowledge of fund services and associated processes
• Familiarity with relevant technical systems
• Previous supervisory experience
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in the related area
• Very good command of English (oral and written)
