Fund Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of professionals, driving them towards established goals and conducting personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions
• Calculate daily and periodic NAVs for funds, ensuring compliance with local regulations, accepted accounting values, and tax requirements
• Produce audited annual financial accounts and semiannual accounts for each regulated entity
• Complete regulatory and client reporting, covering aspects of fund valuation, portfolio, expenses, and transaction volumes
• Support the section manager in overseeing a team of Fund Accountants, addressing various financial and accounting matters affecting clients
• Identify and implement corrective action plans, analyze business risks, and serve as the primary point of escalation for internal/external staff queries
• Develop and manage process, productivity, and quality standards
• Cultivate business relationships, identify service enhancements, lead system testing, and provide staff training on new technology

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• In-depth knowledge of funds services and related processes
• Familiarity with relevant technical systems
• Previous supervisory experience
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in the related area
• Very good command of English (oral and written)
• Chartered Accountant/CFA/MBA credentials are an additional asset
