Senior Hadoop/Big Data Developer

Responsibilities:

• Work on assigned project tasks within a SAFe Agile environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
• Take ownership of development activities across the Hadoop / Big Data ecosystem to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and customer-focused delivery
• Contribute to end-to-end development processes, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment of Big Data solutions
• Ensure that solutions meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements within the project scope
• Actively participate in team ceremonies and support continuous improvement within the SAFe framework

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Scala experience
• Experience with functional programming techniques & principles – Scala
• Experience in working in Spark
• Knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting
• Knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of Hadoop stack (YARN, Sqoop, Hive, Impala, MapReduce, Oozie, etc.)
• Familiar with version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Ansible, Bamboo, Jenkins)

Nice to have:

• Java experience
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Flink and Kafka
• Familiar with data analysis
